You may not know this about me, but I can fly.

It’s fairly easy actually. It’s a feeling more than an action. What I do might be more classified as floating rather than flying, if you want to get technical. It’s like swimming, but in the air. If I close my eyes, I can make it happen.

I fly over cities, but not too high.  I coast just above the skyline and skim over the edges of buildings. I rise up and dip down with the changing heights.

I fly inside the house with ease. I twirl and glide from room to room. I slip right through the open gap in the archway to my parents’ bathroom.

I fly and it brings me joy. I feel weightless and free to explore the world in new ways. I enjoy the chance to embrace the unused space that surrounds me above.
